Steven D. Martin, 51, of Middletown, passed away Jan. 15, 2022. Born Aug. 7, 1970, in Jersey City, Steve later moved to Middletown where he graduated from Middletown High School North, met his beautiful wife and became a small-business owner of Made Ya Look Signs.
As an avid outdoors man and adventure seeker, Steve enjoyed biking, hiking, kayaking, surfing, time at the beach and riding his “Hardley” Davidson motorcycle. As a proud father of three, he was the quintessential hockey, cheerleading and soccer Dad. He shared his passion for paintball with his son, playing as teammates for the Defiance NFG. He always put his family’s needs, and everyone else’s for that matter, in front of his own. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and compassionate friend.
Although Steve’s journey has ended here on Earth, he will be welcomed with open arms by family and friends up above. The memories and moments of him will live on forever in our hearts and minds. We will never forget you.
Steve is survived by his wife of 33 wonderful years, Heidi Martin, and their children, Steven J. Martin (27), Alexis T. Martin (23), and Haley T. Martin (20). He also leaves behind his father, Ronald Girimes; sister Lorri Outcalt and husband George; sister Diane Flanagan and husband Michael; and brother-in-law Dan Jouette. Steve is also survived by his extended family: in-laws Mario and Millie Gonzalez; sister-in law Helen Gonzalez and her fiancé Tim Lurie; his brother-in-law Michael and wife Cindy Gonzalez; sister-in-law Julie Gonzalez; and nieces and nephews Heather Flanagan, Olivia and Ben Outcalt, and Adrian and Cecelia Gonzalez.
