FREEHOLD – A beautiful stretch of summer weather drew families and friends to browse the 4-H tents, hear banjo music and barbershop quartets, cheer pig races, meet representatives from the Sheriff’s office and experience being in a tent with butterflies. The annual Monmouth County Fair ran from July 24 to 28 at the fairgrounds off Kozloski Road and had a little something for everyone, especially at the food tents, where fairgoers could pick out dinner and eat together at the shaded outdoor picnic tables.
