RED BANK – Residents on the West Side of the borough near Shrewsbury Avenue are fed up with many things. Most importantly, they are “tired of being ignored” by elected officials, said Freddie Boynton, a self-proclaimed “West Side advocate.”

The proposed Kushner Companies development in Colts Neck is drawing more fire from environmentalists and residents and appears stuck in a revolving door of government agencies. Most recently the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners sent the project back to the county’s planning board for “additional information” after pushback from residents and community groups at its Dec. 14 meeting.

Shore traffic is a regular and frustrating feature of the Two River area during the summer months. As residents and tourists flock to Monmouth County’s beaches, roadways can become congested, causing backups, delays and annoyances for drivers.
