FAIR HAVEN – The Harding Bird Sanctuary in the borough is feathering its nest. Fair Haven Garden Club president Nancy Bosco outlined recent work at the woodland preserve on Harding Road and noted the collaborative efforts of the garden club and the borough’s Department of Public Works (DPW) in restoring the habitat.

RED BANK – The borough council unanimously approved a $4.875 million bond ordinance for the first phase of construction on the long-awaited Department of Public Works facility, which will replace deteriorating temporary trailers that have housed workers for more than two decades.

FAIR HAVEN – Fair Haven’s newly renovated Department of Public Works and Recycling Center officially opened to residents Aug. 1, marking the completion of the borough’s threepronged facilities project overhaul.

FAIR HAVEN – Roughly a decade in the making, the borough is on track to finish its new police department, community center and Department of Public Works (DPW) buildings, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2025.

A new Department of Public Works (DPW) building is being built to replace the aging trailer at 90 White Road, which the department currently uses as an office.

On National Law Enforcement Day, the borough council met to review the existing condition of Fair Haven’s police department and public works facilities to determine if renovations or rebuilding are in order. The governing body reviewed professional reports on both the facilities at the special meeting Jan. 9 held in-person and livestreamed on Zoom.
