AUGUSTA, Ga. – Little Silver’s Chris Gotterup is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour and is more than accustomed to playing the highest level of golf around the world.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – Super Bowl LX was minutes away from kickoff in California but Little Silver’s Chris Gotterup was providing quite a pregame show at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Arizona.

HONOLULU – Chris Gotterup’s third PGA Tour victory came 5,000 miles from home, but as the pride of Little Silver stood holding the trophy at the Sony Open in Hawaii Jan. 18, Waialae Country Club gave him a little sense of déjà vu.

COUNTY ANTRIM, NORTHERN IRELAND – What did Little Silver’s Chris Gotterup have for an encore after beating Rory McIlroy head-to-head to win the Genesis Scottish Open July 13? How about a third-place finish at The 2025 Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland?

NORTH BERWICK, UNITED KINGDOM – Chris Gotterup showed nerves of steel in the ultimate pressure cooker. The Little Silver native stared down five-time major winner Rory McIlroy for 18 holes at the Scottish Open and stunned a worldwide golf audience to shoot a 15-under-par for a two-stroke win and his second career PGA Tour win.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The PGA Tour had two tournaments last week with the Championship on the horizon. While Rory McIlroy dominated the Wells Fargo Championship by five shots in Charlotte, Chris Gotterup was doing the same thing in Myrtle Beach. Gotterup procured a six- shot victory while showcasing the skills and shotmaking that have now cemented him as one of the rising young stars in professional golf.

The Holmdel boys golf team lost head-to-head match-ups with Wall twice in the regular season, then finished third in both the Monmouth County and Shore Conference tournaments trailing the Crimson Knights once again.

Megha Ganne captured the attention of the golf world when she qualified for the U.S. Open as a freshman at Holmdel High School in 2019 and followed that by finishing as the low amateur in the 2021 U.S. Open.

Little Silver’s Chris Gotterup and Middletown’s Ryan McCormick earned PGA Tour cards for the 2024 season by finishing high enough in the Korn Ferry Tour rankings. 

Jack Wall has experienced great thrills in his golf career. He started as a state champion at Christian Brothers Academy and went on to big-time college golf at the University of South Carolina and Texas Tech.
