Netflix may be eyeing Fort Monmouth for a production hub in the next few years, but Hollywood is already a big part of Monmouth County, and has been for some time.

MONMOUTH COUNTY – Two municipalities in the Two River area will soon consider changing their existing partisan forms of government, as determined by voters this week.

Four months after The Two River Times broke the news that Gov. Phil Murphy’s outreach to major film production studios resulted in interest from Netflix, the entertainment company confirmed its intentions. 

There are two seats opening up on the Atlantic Highlands Borough Council, and six candidates will compete for those spots in this year’s general election.

Two Republicans and two Democrats have entered the race for Fair Haven council, according to the Monmouth County Votes website.
