TINTON FALLS – Nearly 2,500 people lined parts of Asbury Avenue near Green Grove Road in Tinton Falls March 28 for a No Kings protest, turning a busy Monmouth County roadway into a lengthy, highly visible demonstration against actions by the Trump Administration.

MIDDLETOWN – With the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in the distance and the waves of Raritan Bay at their backs, more than 100 activists, community leaders and elected officials gathered in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown Sept. 9 to once again rally against the proposed North East Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipeline.

ASBURY PARK – A President Trump impersonator was, fittingly, one of the first speakers at Asbury Park’s No Kings rally, held this past Saturday at Springwood Park.

RED BANK – Undeterred by the rainy and chilly Saturday afternoon, nearly 2,000 protesters flooded Riverside Gardens Park to participate in the Hands Off! Red Bank, NJ Fight Back! rally, part of a nationwide protest April 5. Protestors condemned several federal policies initiated by President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla.

RED BANK – The borough’s train station became the epicenter of resistance Saturday as nearly 1,500 people from more than 20 organizations marched in a rally to mark International Women’s Day.

HOLMDEL – The township committee adopted a resolution in compliance with the state’s fair share housing law, reducing the state’s estimate of affordable housing number by 35 units. The resolution, which passed unanimously at the committee’s Jan. 30 meeting, was adopted “under protest” as the township continues its legal challenge to the state’s housing requirements.

A woman using the name of a deceased female Army veteran rather than her own is speaking for an anonymous group of indeterminate size opposing Netflix, or any other film studio, coming to Fort Monmouth.
