MIDDLETOWN – Facing a $10 million budget gap for the upcoming school year, the Middletown Township Board of Education approved a tentative 2025-2026 school budget that may require the closing of three schools.

LITTLE SILVER – Special elections were held across New Jersey last month; in Little Silver, the board of education and the borough spent weeks adver tising the election through emails, letters and announcements. The result was a turnout of over 1,300 voters, the highest Little Silver has had in a special election in five years, but still only a fraction of the 5,365 registered voters in the borough.
