RED BANK – As the beach tan starts to fade, county officials are gearing up for an autumn lineup worth falling for following a record-breaking summer that brought in $32 million in beach revenue from shore towns in Monmouth County.

SEA BRIGHT – Against the picturesque backdrop of Sea Bright’s beachfront, local officials and community leaders gathered May 20 to launch the 2025 summer tourism season, celebrating a record-breaking season last year and the promise of an exciting one ahead for both residents and visitors.

To keep the summer revenue breezing into fall, the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, tourism partners and local officials kicked off the fall 2023 tourism season at a press conference Sept. 19 at the Count Basie Center for the Arts.

The arguments fell somewhere between absurdity and bemusement. Now all the brouhaha over the Garden State’s midriff is being put to rest with a new law that will officially add Central Jersey to the state’s tourism map.

On a warm and breezy last day of summer, the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners gathered with Keyport Mayor Collette Kennedy and local business owners in the borough to review the area’s summer tourism report and look forward to fall.

Political and business officials in the nine towns that make up the Bayshore region are putting their heads together to see how they can increase tourism.
