HOLMDEL – The former Vonage headquarters is set to be transformed into a senior living community that will include 209 age-restricted residential units and 90 assisted-living units with skilled nursing beds.

HOLMDEL - After months of public input and careful consideration, the township committee unanimously approved the Vonage redevelopment plan, paving the way for a new senior living community on the site of the former telecommunications company’s headquarters.

The township committee has been navigating the complex interplay between development and conservation as it moves forward with two significant projects: the preservation of Potter’s Farm and the redevelopment of the former Vonage headquarters.

A development proposed for vacant farmland across from the former Vonage corporate office complex on County Route 520 is on the township’s planning board agenda after a two-year pause, but the application is facing more scrutiny now as it navigates Holmdel’s complicated zoning regulations.

To ring in the new year, the Holmdel Township Committee adopted resolutions for fair and transparent governance.

Nearly 87 acres of the former headquarters of the global cloud communications company Vonage have been proposed for potential redevelopment.
