Tara Elizabeth Sheehan and Robert Timothy Sharkey were married at St. Joseph’s Church in, Newport, Rhode Island on July 17, 2016. The service was officiated by Father Myles Sheehan, S.J. of Boston, Massachusetts. A black tie reception was held at the Glen Manor House, on the banks of the Sakonnet, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
The bride was attended by Maid of Honor Kelsey Sheehan, and bridesmaids Claire Sheehan, Haley Sheehan, Casey Miles, Deliya Gulchina and Alison Chase. Miss Katie Sheehan served as flower girl. The groom was attended by Best Man Jack Sharkey and groomsmen Ryan Seewald, Drew Morris, Andrew Mumma, Chris McCullough and Marshall Lahiff. Tim Berger and DJ Giordano served as ushers.
The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Carol Mahoney of Marion, Massachusetts and Dennis William Sheehan Jr. of London, United Kingdom.
Tara is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Art History and then obtained her Master’s of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern Business School, New York. She is employed as a merchandise planner with Ann Taylor, Inc.
The groom is the son of the late Patricia Morris Sharkey and Robert Vincent Sharkey of Rumson, New Jersey.
Tim is also a graduate of the University of Virginia where he received his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Media Studies and Foreign Affairs and then earned his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University, Pennsylvania. He is employed as a compliance officer with the Royal Bank of Canada.
