The Signs of the Times

Stay-at-home orders and social distancing are making it difficult to communicate with family, friends and neighbors, but people are still finding ways to support, inform and even make others laugh. Signs are cropping up all over the Two River area, at businesses to let customers know when and how they can visit an establishment, at churches informing congregants about virtual worships and at schools encouraging students to hang in there.

Some signs are posted by the local, state or federal government, urging residents to stay home or stay out of closed areas. Some signs are handmade, erected in lawns and on poles, letting essential “heroes” know they are supported and appreciated. And some sign posters have released their inner comedian, displaying humorous messages to help people through the pandemic.
