Thomas P. Argentieri, 75, of Neptune and Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully Jan. 24, 2023, after a long and valiant battle with multiple myeloma. Tom was raised in Hornell, New York and graduated from Georgetown University in 1969. Upon graduation he attended Boston University Law School, graduating in 1973. After law school, Tom settled in Monmouth County and began working for the public defender’s office in Newark. He then went on to establish his own private practice in Red Bank, finishing his career as an in-house council for C.N.A. Insurance company.
Tom left a lasting impression of love and kindness on everyone he met. His strong faith sustained him through life. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, playing golf, beating Linda in gin rummy, snacking on a midnight bowl of ice cream, reading any mystery or thriller he could find, and visiting Loon Lake, New York, for annual family reunions.
Tom is survived by his four children, Justin Argentieri and his wife Ariane of Alexandria, Virginia, Matthew Argentieri and his wife Serena of Kenilworth, Meaghan Argentieri and Cale Argentieri of Neptune; four grandchildren, Garrett, Julian, Acelin, and Sebastian Argentieri; his longtime partner and fiancé Linda Forrest; his five siblings, Linda Rascovar and husband Lee of St. Louis, Missouri, Gerald Argentieri and his wife Sheryl of Bath, New York, Paul Argentieri and his wife Lynn of Sebastopol, California, Dede Ranger and her husband Rick of Rochester, New York, and Ted Argentieri and his wife Diane of Boston, Massachusetts.
The family received relatives and friends to celebrate Tom’s life Jan. 27 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Memorial Mass was held Jan. 28 at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
