RED BANK – The Navesink Garden Club’s program for Tuesday, Oct. 21, “To Bee or Not to Bee – that is the Question,” will be held at the Atrium, 40 Riverside Ave.
The meeting and presentation is open to the general public free of charge.
Liz Hanson, past president of the Little Silver Garden Club, and who is enthusiastic about her hobby as a beekeeper, will be the presenter.
She maintains that we really cannot make the choice “Not to Bee” because bees and other pollinators provide a crucial link to most food in the human food chain. Hanson will describe the lifestyle of the inhabitants of the hive and explain about the incredible society honey bees create for themselves as they serve us.
In addition, Hanson has offered to provide a delicious surprise at the completion of the program.
The Navesink Garden Club invites people interested in horticulture and design to join the club. Guests are encouraged to come to one or more monthly meetings to learn what other interesting projects the club has planned.
Meetings are held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at The Atrium in September, October, November, January, March, April and May.
The Navesink Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of New Jersey, Inc. and the Central Atlantic Region of National Garden Clubs, Inc.
