John Paul Valentino, 67, of Middletown, passed away Oct. 22 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Palermiti, Italy, he was raised and resided in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Middletown in 1980.
Mr. Valentino was a broadcast engineer for various television shows. He had a love of music and played guitar in several bands. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether it be carpentry or working on electronics and musical equipment. He was a devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Laura Valentino, and his sister Maria Ruggiero. Surviving are his beloved wife Janet Valentino (née Dietrich); his children, Jennifer, John Paul and Jessica Valentino; his sisters, Lisa Valentino and Linda Catanzaro and her husband Richard; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was Oct. 27 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown. A funeral liturgy was offered Oct. 28 at St. Mary’s Chapel in Middletown. Interment followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
