Virginia Rizzo, 85, of Lincroft, passed away Oct. 19 at Riverview Medical Center. She was born in New York, New York to the late Peter and Frances (Celio) Tamburri. She loved animals, especially her beloved dogs Baby and Sandy, and cats. Virginia always had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for her many houseplants. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She will be remembered for her feisty attitude and as a generous mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Rizzo in 2019. Surviving are her loving children, Mary and her partner Whitney; Susan and her husband Christopher; and Ginger and her husband Chip. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Tony, Joey and James, her dear sisters, Debbie and Louise, and her nephew Louis.
A visitation with a service was held Oct. 24 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Cremation will be private.
