Vito A. Bertolami, 87, of the Four Seasons Community of Wall, passed away Aug. 30, 2022, at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick. Born and raised in Neptune by his parents Anthony and Catherine née Polizzi Bertolami. He was a 1952 graduate of Neptune High School and attended the University of Maryland before entering the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Dix.
He had resided in Colts Neck for many years before moving to Four Seasons at Wall, Manasquan in 1997. He was an executive in the oil industry working for Stinnes Interoil, New York City, before forming his own company, V.A.B. Petroleum, Red Bank.
Vito was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife of 61 years Joan M. née Turtur Bertolami July 1, 2019; and his brother Sal Bertolami.
Surviving are his devoted daughters, Lisa Martinez and husband Dana of Forked River, and Denise C. Bertolami of Belmar; his two granddaughters, Alison and husband Richard Swank and Laura Martinez; his great-granddaughter Joanna Swank; and his sister-in-law Karen.
Visitation was Sept. 2 at the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall. A funeral Mass was Sept. 3 at St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt. Committal followed in St. Catharine Cemetery Mausoleum, Wall.
