Wayne H. Lamken, 79, of Holmdel, passed away Oct. 31, 2023. He was born to the late Dorothy and John Lamken in 1944 in Newark where he was raised for a few years before his family moved to Lincroft.
He attended and graduated from Middletown Township School in 1963 and immediately began working. He worked for Singer, EAI, and Lavoie Laboratories as a machinist before becoming owner and operator for over 55 years of his pride and joy in life, Beeler Tree Service.
Wayne married in 1965 and began a family shortly after moving to Holmdel, where he settled.
Wayne was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His true passion was his business; he dedicated his life to it.
Wayne was very social. He was a member of Bungy Hunting Club in Pennsylvania, the Patten Avenue Marina, and enjoyed frequently stopping at the VFW and Huddy’s.
Wayne loved everyone and everyone loved Wayne. Wayne especially enjoyed spending time at his Pennsylvania home and with his grandson for dinners.
He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Lamken and his daughter Tracey Lamken.
Surviving are his son Dwayne Lamken of Tinton Falls; his sisters, Barbara Gebhardt and Diane Frantz; his grandson Landen Lamken; and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.
A visitation and service were held Nov. 6 at Holmdel Funeral Home, Holmdel.
