William A. Nempsey Jr., 59, of Leonardo, passed away peacefully Nov. 9 in Red Bank. He was born in Long Branch to the late William A. Sr. and Patricia Nempsey.
William was a mechanic by trade but also pursued a variety of other professions including a valet for New York Waterway, security for the Seastreak ferry and construction work. He enjoyed concerts, collecting sport cards, the New Jersey Devils, the New York Yankees and the Indianapolis Colts. Most of all William enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
William is survived by his fiancé Laurie; three sons, Matthew and his wife Melissa, Jeffrey and Eric; a brother Frank Nempsey; and three grandchildren, Sophia, Kylie and Addison.
A visitation was held Nov. 13 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Interment will be private.
