William H. Burnett, 60, of Middletown, died Sept. 9, 2021, in Middletown. He was born in Jersey City and, after getting married to the love of his life Tara, moved to Middletown where they both raised their sons.
William retired from Phillips 66 after a long career and recently served as a safety consultant for Haztek.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years Tara Burnett; sons Eric (Billy) Burnett, Scott (Kaitlyn) Burnett, William Burnett and Brian Burnett; two brothers, Michael Burnett and Peter Burnett; and two sisters, Lynda (Bill) Scialabba and Joan (Thomas) Defalcon; along with many nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his daughter Helen Theresa Burnett; father Russell Burnett; and mother Estelle Cordasco.
Visitation was held Sept. 13 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Funeral Mass was offered Sept. 14 at St. Mary Mother of God Church, New Monmouth. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution in William’s name to The Frances Foundation For Kids Fighting Cancer. Arrangements are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
