WEST LONG BRANCH – The entrepreneurship class and the Monmouth University Center for Entrepreneurship, under the leadership of professor John Buzza, is launching its newest endeavor, Hawk Country Allergy Friendly Snack Bars.
The idea for the product was forged at the beginning of the semester by students in the class. Initially, the students are split into different business teams, such as marketing and advertising, production, publicity, sales and information technology. They were led by an executive board consisting of a CEO, COO, CFO and a human resource director.
The course has been ranked among the best of its kind in recent years. It was voted the Most Innovative Entrepreneurship Course in the country by the USASBE.
More than 19 businesses have been launched from Buzza’s classes.
The current company, Hawk Country, is dedicated to creating a snack bar that serves the purpose of giving allergy-plagued children and adults a chance to enjoy a treat that is just as enjoyable as any other candy bar on the market today.
