In The Nude: Red Bank businesses strip for a worthy cause

Silk, champagne, cupcakes, lingerie models. It sounds like an invitation to the Playboy mansion, but as it turns out, these risqué attractions are all part of a local fundraising benefit. It’s called Go Naked and Check Yourself—a breast, skin and testicular cancer awareness event dreamed up by Angela Courtney of Sweetest Sin Boutique and Chris Paseka of Sugarush. The event, which benefits the American Cancer Society of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, highlights the importance of a monthly self-exam (the most accurate and thorough way to check for an abnormality). Hosted at the restaurant Teak, the evening includes drinks, appetizers, a silent auction, door raffles, cupcakes and more. Models will be “stripping” down as the night wears on—from bathrobes at the start of the event to something a little less comfortable toward the end.
