The snow is expected to begin after 3 a.m. Tuesday and continue through rush hour.

Snow could be heavy at times and eventually could turn to a mix of snow and rain and then rain in the later afternoon in the area.

The temperature will reach about 40 in the afternoon.

For those who need a little light at the end of the snow tunnel, the weather service is forecasting 56 degrees and rainy for Friday.
