FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – The Jewish Heritage Museum will present the Oasis Players in a concert, “The Way We Were/The Way We Are” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.
The concert is a tribute to Marvin Hamlisch, Hal David, Brill Building Jewish composers and composers of Disney films and contemporary music.
The cost is $18 for members, $20 for nonmembers. Concert-goers who bring a nonperishable item for the local food pantry will receive a $3 discount per ticket when purchased at the door or at the museum in advance.
The Oasis Players first appeared at the museum in 2009 with “Romantic Notions: Love Songs from the Great American Songbook,” in the fall of 2011 with “A Lot of Night Music” and again in November 2012 with a cabaret celebrating a century of music and lyrics by Jewish American songwriters. The performers are comprised of musicians from all over Monmouth County.
