‘More Mendelssohn’ Slated for May 18

FREEHOLD – The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will present “More Mendelssohn, a Classical Music Chamber Concert” at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the 310 Mounts Corner Drive museum.
The sequel to the successful “Mostly Mendelssohn,” the 2013 concert, presented by the Bravura Ensemble “More Mendelssohn, A Classical Chamber Music Concert” will feature Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel’s Piano Trio in D Minor Op. 11, performed by the Bravura Piano Trio with pianist Chui-Ling Lin, violinist Cheng-Chih Kevin Tsai and cellist Mira Kang.
Additional piano works by her more famous brother, Felix Mendelssohn, among them Variations Serieuses, will be performed by Angela Zhao and Chiu-Ling Lin, as well as some of the transcriptions of his “Songs Without Words” for cello and violin.
Admission is $18 for museum members, $20 for non-members and $12 for students.
