The playground honors Daniel Barden, one of the 20 children and six educators who were killed last December at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn.
Daniel’s parents and siblings, above, were welcomed and honored at the ceremony.
The playground is part of the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association’s mission to build 26 playgrounds in Super Storm Sandy-affected areas while honoring the lives of the 26 “angels” that were lost in Newton, Conn.
