If you sit in the stands at Two River Times Field to watch an RFH girls soccer game, it won’t take long to notice Jordyn Sullivan. When the ball is on her foot, defenses get on edge knowing that she’s capable of single-handedly turning the game with the perfect pass or a deadly shot.

The Duke University commit scored 32 goals and five assists as part of a team that went 13-10, highlighted by a magical run in the Shore Conference Tournament. Sullivan scored four goals with two assists across the tournament’s four games, carrying her team through each round with increasingly clutch performances.

The Shore Conference is loaded with girls’ soccer talent, with a number of teams consistently spending time ranked in the Top 20 polls. Rumson-Fair Haven was the No. 13 seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and 13 proved to be a lucky number for the Bulldogs thanks in large part to Sullivan.

Her most memorable moment came in the second round against Red Bank Catholic. With the match deadlocked in double overtime and just 1:14 remaining, Sullivan delivered a golden goal that kept Rumson’s improbable tournament run alive. She followed those heroics with both goals in a 2-0 quarterfinal victory over Point Pleasant Boro, displaying the killer instinct that separates elite players from good ones. Sullivan achieved 100 career points in the upset win against the defending state champion.

Through three high school seasons, Sullivan has compiled 51 career goals, positioning her among the most prolific scorers in recent Rumson-Fair Haven history. With one season remaining before she takes her talents to the ACC, Shore Conference opponents will have to contend with a player who is more than capable of not only matching 32 goals but surpassing it.
