WEST LONG BRANCH – The top-seeded Christian Brothers Academy Colts left no doubt in front of a capacity crowd at Monmouth University, delivering a commanding 58-37 victory over second-seeded Red Bank Catholic to win their first Shore Conference Tournament boys basketball championship since 2010.

State Playoffs Begin Next Week 

With the Shore Conference basketball tournament wrapping up on Friday at Monmouth University, the focus will quickly shift to the winter state playoffs. The brackets are out in boys basketball, girls basketball and hockey. Best of luck to all our local teams as they chase a state championship.

It used to be section finals were the end of the road for public high school football teams. But in year four of true state championships, trophies are handed out for section titles before teams need two more wins for the coveted state title trophy.

Sourlis Returns to Rumson-Fair Haven to Lead Boys Program

RUMSON – George Sourlis has been on both sides of the Ridge Road Rivalry. Now, the veteran coach is returning to Rumson-Fair Haven, following three years building Red Bank Regional into a Shore Conference power.
