TINTON FALLS — A joint law enforcement operation arrested two men last week and seized a large quantity of drugs and cash at an area hotel, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators from the prosecutor’s office, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and borough police arrested Adam Sacks, 31, Mount Holly, Vt., and Kyle Lewis, who turned 21 on Sunday, at the Red Roof Inn, 11 Centre Plaza, off of Garden State Parkway Exit 105, charging the two with a variety of drug related offenses.
While searching the room, investigators discovered what they said was a large quantity of methamphetamine, LSD, marijuana, hashish oil and approximately $51,240 in cash they suspected to be the proceeds of drug sales.
The two men were in the area to attend a concert performed by the band Further, which were appearing at the PNS Arts Center, Holmdel. The men had tickets for the show and for other area performances, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Sacks is being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold, on $320,000 bail. Lewis, who was charged with possession of LSD, marijuana and hashish, was released on a summons.
