MIDDLETOWN – Township law enforcement officers were involved in these arrests or investigations:

  • Brianna M. Geerlof, 21, of Maplewood, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 3, and charged with obstructing the investigation of a crime. Police alleged Geerlof  “recklessly created the risk of public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm by engaging in violent tumultuous behavior, specifically by screaming, fighting and disrupting the public,” according to the criminal complaint. Geerlof’s bail was set at $4,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
  • Joshua Floyd, 21, of State Highway 36, Atlantic Highlands, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 3, and charged with assault, throwing bodily fluids at the arresting officers and obstruction of the administration of law. According to the criminal complaint, Floyd, allegedly made threats against officers and their families, kicked and fought with officers and spit at them. Floyd’s bail was set $15,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
  • Erica L. Caruso, 34, of Center Avenue, Keansburg, was arrested Aug. 24 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, heroin. Caruso’s bail was set at $10,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond
  • James Jelinski, 46, of tate Highway 36, Port Monmouth, was arrested Aug. 24, and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, heroin; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a hypodermic syringe, according to the criminal complaint. Jelinski’s bail was set at $7,500 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
  • Township police arrested Matthew J. Rock, 30, of Hudson Avenue, on Aug. 24, and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, heroin, according to the criminal complaint. His  bail was set at $7,500.
