Nancy (Sorensen) Terwilliger, 75, a longtime resident of Union Beach, passed away Oct. 13. Nancy was born Aug. 29, 1944 in Perth Amboy, the daughter of the late Lillian Dumenko and Neils Sorensen. After marrying the love of her life David G. Terwilliger, Nancy and David moved to Union Beach.

Nancy loved to be active and outdoors with her husband, whether it was out on a Jet Ski or a boat, or even under the water scuba diving. She also enjoyed fishing, crabbing and deer hunting. She was a good shot with a shot gun or a bow! You could also find her riding her motorcycle alongside her soulmate David. She also enjoyed spending quiet time knitting, crocheting and gardening. Really, she could do just about anything.

She was devoted to her beloved family, her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her whole world.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years David G. Terwilliger and their four children, daughters Denise Love and Donna Terwilliger, both of Union Beach; and son and daughter-in-law David and Catherine Terwilliger of North Carolina; and son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Michelle Terwilliger of Bayville. Nancy also leaves behind her sister Barbara Hand of Virginia; adored niece and nephew Frances and John Parkinson of Hazlet; 11 grandchildren: David, Preston, Bobby, Maggie, Leonard, Christopher, Cody, Brandon, Dylan, Jason and Ava Bella; along with three great-grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Cameron and Leonard Jr.

She was predeceased by her brother Kenny Kasler two years ago.

Friends and relatives paid their respects Oct. 17 and 18 immediately followed by the funeral service at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, Belford. The burial and committal followed at Fairview Cemetery.
