The county celebrated its remarkable history as visitors flocked to 52 sites May 4 and 5,
from Highlands to Holmdel, Middletown to Millstone and everywhere in between. Those interested in the sites could take a self-guided tour and enter any of the participating museums and historic buildings free of charge for the weekend. The county Historical Commission also offered a virtual tour and an interactive map. It can be viewed at visitmonmouth.com by clicking on the Government tab, County Departments, Historical Commission.
