RED BANK – Red Bank Catholic High School recently announced the establishment of the Red Bank Catholic Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization designed to fortify the institution’s financial future through the growth of a monetary endowment.
Since its inception in 1888, Red Bank Catholic has been guided and sustained by St. James Church, the Sisters of Mercy and the community at large. The combined commitment forms the bedrock of the institution, inspiring generations of students to embrace academic rigor, faith and service.
“As the pastor of St. James Church, I am deeply honored by the impact our church has had on shaping the experiences of so many Caseys,” said Monsignor Joseph Rosie. “We have been blessed to support students, graduates, families and marrying alumni, enriching the journey of each individual within our RBC community. I am excited to collaborate and partner with our dedicated Foundation members to further RBC’s mission of Catholic education excellence for our present and future Caseys.”
The Red Bank Catholic Foundation embraces this storied tradition while clearing a path toward an even brighter future. The foundation’s board, composed of alumni, parents and select RBC administration, is committed to supporting Red Bank Catholic with long-term financial security. Jerry Brager, foundation chair, underscored the organization’s commitment to the school. “RBC distinguishes itself with a unique co-ed education in a lively downtown locale, appealing to families seeking a comprehensive high school journey for their children.”
At the heart of the foundation’s mission lies the establishment of a robust monetary endowment, but beyond financial provisions, the foundation pledges to support school-led strategic initiatives and educational priorities.
“Throughout my time at RBC,” said Bob Abatemarco, the school’s president, “the principle of ‘Caseys pass it on’ echoed consistently. This guiding philosophy thrived in our staff, students and alumni. With the Red Bank Catholic Foundation, we now have the means to carry this forward to future generations of Caseys – those we serve and those we inspire to make a difference.”
Through strategic planning and visionary leadership, the Red Bank Catholic Foundation seeks to ensure that the legacy of Red Bank Catholic High School endures for generations to come.
