Patricia Johnson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Patty lived a vivacious life. She was known to all as a vibrant and tender soul, and most importantly, she was the joy in everyone’s life, enriching them for the better and leaving a perpetual impact.

Patty was born in Brooklyn, New York, to John and Virginia Quattrocchi. Her family moved to Hazlet when she was 4. She attended St. Leo the Great School in Lincroft, Raritan High School in Hazlet and then went to business school. She began her professional career in New York City. After climbing the corporate ladder, she started a sales career, breaking the glass ceiling. She worked for several major technology firms and was extremely successful. Everyone who knew Patty knows that, with her distinctive talents and charm, she could sell you the Brooklyn Bridge if offered the chance.

Patty met the love of her life in 1992. They married in 1994 and began their loving marriage together in Leonardo.

Patty was a rare and beautiful light. She impacted all those she met with her exuberance, her kindheartedness, her joy, and her passionate, unique zest for life. Whether it was in the grocery store or at a social function, Patty tried to show love to all she met. She took the time to talk with strangers about their day and their lives, or just to make sure she said hello. She was interested in what people were all about and showed them through her actions. She had an undeniable passion for others, an affable gift that is rare. She taught her family, through her actions, how to love. Her quick wit and sense of humor left everyone wanting more of her.

You could find her walking at the beach, enjoying sunsets, and capturing the beauty of life in her photography. She filled her gardens and home with exquisite flowers, plants, herbs and artistry. Her home was a showplace filled with amazing finds, from beach glass to artwork to chic bohemian discoveries. You would always feel inspired, comfortable and totally at ease in her surroundings and in her presence. Simply, she had an eye for beauty.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband Ken Johnson from Brooklyn, New York, and Leonardo; her sister Ginny Stott (Bill) from Florida; her brother John Quattrocchi of Slatington, Pennsylvania; her stepson Ken Johnson Jr. and his loving family of Florida; her sister-in-law Krissie Williamson of Atlantic Highlands; her nieces and nephews, who adored her; and her many, many dear friends, including Elaine and Sandy.

A celebration funeral Mass was held Sept. 3 at St. Mary’s Church, Middletown.
