Virginia A. O’Keefe, 93, passed away April 7, 2026.
After a long and rewarding career at Central Jersey Bank in Westfield, Virginia (Ginny) retired to Red Bank and remained busy as ever. Her retirement years were spent volunteering at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank Public Library, and JBJ Soul Kitchen, to name a few. She made many dear friends through her volunteer activities.
In addition to volunteering, she traveled the world. One of her greatest joys was taking each of her five grandchildren on a trip during their senior year of high school.
Ginny loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Known as Grandma to Meagan and Devin and Jersey Grandma to Emmett, Brian and Danny, she would visit with them as often as possible.
Ginny was predeceased by two of her children, Dennis and Eileen. They were always in her heart. She is survived by her sons Rob (Dianne) and Kevin (Meg); her five grandchildren, Meagan (Brian), Devin (Shelby), Emmett (Sarah), Brian (Trish), Danny (Annah); four great-granddaughters, Bridget, Keira, Heidi and Piper; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in the future, when family and friends will be invited to share memories and honor the beautiful life she lived.
