Labor Day Weekend may be the symbolic end of summer, but that doesn’t mean people didn’t get out and enjoy themselves. All across the Two River area residents came out to enjoy the beautiful weather over the long weekend and take part in a number of events.

In Holmdel Park the Jersey Shore Running Club held its 26th annual Saturday in the Park Women’s 5K to benefit programs in Monmouth and Ocean counties that provide shelter and support for women and their families who are suffering from domestic violence.

In Rumson, St. George’s-by-the-River held its annual Canterbury Art Show which showcased work from local artists.

Monmouth Boat Club held its annual Labor Day Regatta which saw a mix of 15 Lightning and Flying Scot-style boats race on the Navesink River while residents watched from Marine Park.

And people from all over flocked to beaches like Sea Bright’s Municipal Beach to enjoy the final days in the sand and sun before the weather turns chilly.
