Ann Lucy Moren, 73, passed away at home April 16, 2021. Ann was born Jan. 16, 1948, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Everett and Norma (Selen) Flodman. She graduated from Worcester South High School in 1966. Ann was married to Jan W. Moren March 6, 1965.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from California State University, Long Beach, California, in 1975. Ann was a well-respected physical therapist in California and New Jersey. She worked in hospital settings, with private physicians, in physical therapy facilities and as a volunteer at the U.S. Army Physical Therapy facility in Belgium at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), in Mons, Belgium. Her career spanned a period of nearly 40 years.
Ann was predeceased by her mother and father, as well as her brothers, retired Col. John A. (Jack) Stockhaus, Ronald E. Flodman and Robert G. Flodman, and niece Kerry Flodman and nephew Eric Stockhaus. Ann is survived by her husband, Jan W. Moren, her son Jon E. Moren (Debra), her beloved grandsons, whom she would call “my heart,” Justin and Christopher Moren, and her brother Richard A. Flodman (Priscilla).
Ann loved life. She traveled whenever she could to and among Europe, the Caribbean Islands, Bermuda, Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, and Canada in the winter for skiing trips with family and friends; she especially loved her many trips to Hawaii. She enjoyed antiquing, brass rubbing, reading, working in the garden and flower and tree planting, and displaying many hooked rugs and wall hangings made by her talented mother Norma.
If there was a good physical therapy symposium in a good location, it was sure to be one she participated in. Growing up, Ann spent summers at her family cottage in Ogunquit, Maine, a location she loved.
At her request she was privately cremated and her ashes will be interred with those of her mother in Wells, Maine. Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements. A local memorial is not planned.

The family would like to express their gratitude to their wonderful neighbors in Rumson’s West Park, especially the children, for their many encouraging notes and remembrances that were left at the home for Ann during the past year.
