MONMOUTH BEACH, August 10 – State Police have identified a boater whose body was recovered about two miles off Monmouth Beach Monday morning.
John Forrester, 71, of Trenton was pronounced dead at a Coast Guard Station at 11:30 a.m., said NJ State Police Spokesman Lt. Brian Polite.
Police got the call at 8:28 a.m. Monday reporting that help was needed locating a missing person. The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau was among those who responded.
Another man on board the 17-foot Grady-White vessel remained on the scene and was questioned by police.
The death is under investigation, said Lt. Polite.
