“This is Resources’ fourth office,” said Carolynn Diakon, broker-senior partner. “We opened Red Bank less than a year ago and are happy to say we’re doing very well. Offices in downtown locations really serve the local town and we see many walk-in clients, looking for our help. Therefore, we are adding many additional agents to handle the volume of inquiries.”
The new office, located at 65 First Ave., will serve as a training center as well as a sales office.
“As we continue to grow, so has our need for space for our weekly agent training sessions,” Diakon said.
Atlantic Highlands was a logical next location for the company that seeks to provide the highest level of client representation in Monmouth County. The firm saw a need in the picturesque bayside community that is known for its stunning views, Victorian architecture and burgeoning arts community.
In addition, the company sees an opportunity to increase the awareness of the town’s attributes through Resources’ own marketing efforts.
“We are excited to be in Atlantic Highlands, which has a great downtown area and a wonderful history, the harbor and New York City ferry and, of course, the beautiful landscape,” said Thomas McCormack, broker-managing partner. “We especially look forward to joining forces with the community in support of local events and other merchants in town. It’s a new chapter for us that can only bring good things.”
The company recently was a sponsor of the FilmOne Fest, an annual outdoor festival of 1-minute films screened for the public at the harbor.
Resources Real Estate is a full-service independent residential brokerage opened by Diakon in 2000. McCormack, with the company since 2002, joined her as a partner in 2010.
Resources Real Estate is located at 112 East River Road in Rumson, 36 Beach Road in Monmouth Beach and 4A West Front St. in Red Bank.

IMA Expands Home-Care Services

Integrated Medicine Alliance has announced the expansion of its home care services, providing house calls to homebound patients.

IMA has hired Shanda McManus, M.D., a board-certified family physician whose special interest has been caring for the homebound patient.
Before joining the IMA Home Care team, McManus had been in solo practice in the Two River area.
Although the practice of a family physician – black bag in hand, making house calls to patients’ homes – has ended, the need has never diminished. The American culture and the practice of medicine has changed in ways that made such visits difficult for both the physician and patient. Yet there are many people who cannot leave their home to visit the doctor who still need medical care and supervision.
IMA has expanded its home-care team by adding McManus and a patient-care coordinator nurse and office staff who are dedicated to caring for patients and their families.
To inquire about house calls and to determine if you or someone you know qualifies for home-care services, please call 732-671-8479.
Integrated Medicine Alliance is a primary-care group without walls operating in northern Monmouth County with offices from Shrewsbury to Hazlet. Inquiries are welcome at 732-460-9840.
