Charles Thomas Gill

Charles Thomas (Tom) Gill of Tinton Falls, 81, passed away May 27 after a brief illness. Tom was born Nov. 12, 1938 in Red Bank to George Gill Sr. and Anna Bottagaro Gill. He grew up in Red Bank and lived there and in Tinton Falls for most of his life.

Tom worked at Red Bank Lumber Company and for the United State Post Office, in addition to being a house painter. He enjoyed occasional trips to Florida, visiting race tracks like Hialeah. He loved nature and animals of all kinds. Tom had a warm and friendly manner, a great sense of humor and was a naturally good dancer. He lived with and cared for his mother until her death in 2007. 

He is survived by his wife Olga; his brother George (and Waverely) Gill Jr. of Red Bank and Palm Springs, California; his brother Greg Gill of Palm Desert, California; his sister Gloria ‘Gigi’ (and Tim) Walker of Scarborough, Maine; his nieces, Denise, Laura, Callie and Julia; his nephews, Patrick and Michael; and many cousins and lifelong friends.
