Counties FoodBank to Hold Tasting Event Sept. 22

SPRING LAKE  – The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties will hold its 23rd Annual Culinary Classic tasting event from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at Doolan’s Shore Club.
Guests will enjoy selections from approximately 40 restaurants, along with fine wines, craft beers and specialty cocktails. All proceeds will benefit the FoodBank, a nonprofit organization that works to alleviate hunger and build food secure communities in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
Participating restaurants include: Kitschens Catering, Langosta Lounge and Porta from Asbury Park; Jersey Shore BBQ from Belmar; Clover Hill Coffee from Freehold; Dearborn Market from Holmdel; McLoone’s Restaurants; Wegman’s; Sweet Tease from Manasquan; Yvonne’s Café of Ocean Grove; Fratello’s, Joe Leone’s Catering and The Beanery from Point Pleasant Beach; Danny’s Grill & Wine Bar, Molly Pitcher Inn, Pearl @ Oyster Point Hotel, Taste and The Melting Pot from Red Bank; Ama Ristorante of Sea Bright; Scarborough Fair of Sea Girt; Chef Mike’s ABG of South Seaside Park; Black Trumpet, Doolan’s Shore Club and Sweet Tease of Spring Lake; Chocolate Carousel of Wall; and Branches Catering of West Long Branch.
Beer, wine and cocktails will be offered by Beach Haus Brewery, Egan’s Liquors, Fedway Wines, Gallo Wines, Krave Spirits and Shore Point Distributers.
The FoodBank’s Culinary Classic is the original and biggest tasting event in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The event is sponsored by David and Les Offenberg, the NJ Bankers Association, Jersey Mike’s Subs, ShopRite, Stop & Shop and Wegman’s.
Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased by calling 732-918-2600 or online at www.foodbankmoc.org. VIP tickets with table service and admission to the VIP reception begin at $125.
The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, a member of Feeding America, is the primary provider of food and services to a network of more than 300 hunger relief organizations that serve individuals and families in need.
