LINCROFT – The Super Bowl Host Committee and New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS), a division of the New York Blood Center (NYBC) are partnering for a series of Super Community Blood Drives that will allow the citizens of New Jersey to show their civic pride as well as their love of football.
A blood drive associated with the program will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 at the Unitarian Church of Monmouth County, 1475 West Front St.
The 2014 New York/New Jersey Super Bowl Host Committee, in partnership with NJBS and NYBC, has launched the Super Community Blood Drive – aimed at motivating people to donate blood for patients in need throughout our area. The campaign, which encompasses the state of New Jersey, the five boroughs of New York City as well as Westchester, Rockland, Nassau and Suffolk counties, runs through Jan. 17.
All presenting donors at these blood drives will receive a red Super Community Blood Drive wristband and will have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII, being played at MetLife Stadium.
“Our partnership with the Super Bowl Host Committee is a great way to motivate and recognize the thousands of donors who maintain our community blood supply each and every day,” said NYBC Vice President Rob Purvis.
Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance by calling 1-800-933-BLOOD or visiting nybloodcenter.org.
