Dorothy Beryl Diamond, 96, of Red Bank, passed away Nov. 7 at her home. She was born in Brooklyn to the late Nathan and Sophie (Fischer) Turin. In the late 1950s, Dorothy and her family moved from Queens to settle in Monmouth County.

Throughout her life, Dorothy was very active in many organizations, including the Sisterhood, B’nai B’rith and served as committeewoman at the Red Bank polls for many years. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Saul Diamond, and her daughter, Ellin Cohen. Surviving are her daughter Nancy Rubinstein, her son-in-law Fred Cohen, her grandchildren, Seth and his wife Debra Cohen and Erica and her husband David Rechtweg, and her great-grandchildren, Ari and Zoe Rechtweg and Chloe and Noah Cohen.

Burial was held Nov. 9 at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
