LITTLE SILVER – This Thanksgiving, Red Bank Regional football fans can fill the football stadium – and the pantry of a local charity.
For the second year, the RBR community will team up with the Red Bank Salvation Army to offer free admission to the traditional football game against Long Branch for fans who bring a food donation to the game.

“The food drive in 2011 was a huge success,” said drive coordinator Cassandra Dorn, who is an English teacher at RBR. “Fans got a free ticket to the game and we filled a pick-up truck with supplies for the needy in our area. It was a win-win for all involved.
“This year, with the game under the lights, the whole event can be even more fun,” she said.
The free ticket offer is open to all fans.
The game takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. Fans who donate any canned good or other non-perishable food item will receive a ticket good for admission to the game.
Most needed items include pasta, soups, peanut butter and rice.
