Richard L. Gmoch Sr., age 71 of Middletown, passed away peacefully at home June 28 with his family by his side.
He was born to the late Edmund T. and Mary Gmoch in Nanicoke, Pennsylvania, eventually moving to New Jersey to pursue his career and raise a family. Richard was the founder and owner of Proprietary Sales that specialized with in store supplies.
He was a devoted and proud communicant of St. Leo the Great R.C. Church in Lincroft. Richard enjoyed boating, fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Dolores; three sons Richard L. Jr. and his wife
Dawn, David V. and Christopher R.; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Christian; and a niece Emily.
A visitation was held July 2 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. There was a Mass of Christian burial July 3 at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church in Lincroft. The entombment followed at Holmdel cemetery.
