When most kids her age are deciding what kind of costume to create for Halloween, Abby Shaw, a nine-year-old student at Forrestdale School, Rumson was busy creating a charity called “Kids for Costumes.” After hearing NBA basketball player Randy Foye speak at her school about the Randy Foye Foundation, Abby was inspired to help locally. She collected over 250 Halloween costumes and donated them to Lunch Break, Manna House and United Way and has hopes of expanding her charity throughout New Jersey. Abby is pictured above at Lunch Break, where she delivered some of the hundreds of costumes she collected.
