Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Heriberto Vidro, who is with the Wounded Warrior Project, and his service dog, Houndini, talk with students at Markham Place School in Little Silver about his experiences in Iraq and dealing with his injuries during the school’s annual Markham Cares Day. The Markham Cares Day is intended to introduce sixth grade students to opportunities for community service and social responsibility. Also featured were representatives from Holiday Express, Blue Star Mothers, HABcore and Jason’s Dreams for Kids.
