Mary T. Graham née Hrinko passed away Aug. 31, 2022. She was 92 years old. She resided at The Chelsea of Tinton Falls after living in Little Silver and Colts Neck and quite a few other places.

Born May 23, 1930, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Telischak) Hrinko. She grew up in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, and spent time on her family’s dairy farm in Nicholson, Pennsylvania, with extended family. She married her husband Arthur J. Graham and moved to New Jersey due to his job at Johnson & Johnson.

Mary was a wonderful mother, homemaker and gardener. The family lived in many places due to Art’s career: New Brunswick, Old Bridge and Colts Neck. Then to Middletown, Ohio, and Lake Bluff, Illinois, and back to Colts Neck. After Art’s passing in 1998, she moved to Little Silver.  Through many moves, Mary grew adept at renovating houses and making friends. Nana, as she was known to all, loved her yard and gardens, and shared gardening with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by three of her four children: daughter Elizabeth Ann Preston and husband Stanley B. Preston of Frankford, Delaware; daughter Mary Kate Kane and husband Richard R. Kane Jr., Little Silver; and son Michael K. Graham and Silvia née Guerreiro, Toms River. Mary leaves five grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart: Emma Grace Preston, Richard R. Kane III, Graham Burdell Preston, Margaret Kane, and John Claudio Graham. She also leaves her cousin Mary Rosich of Dickson City, Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur James Graham Jr., and her son Arthur James Graham III, her parents, and three siblings, William (Pearl) Hrinko and Martha Douglass, both of Dickson City, and Irene Nemetz (John) of Milltown.

The funeral was held Sept. 5 in Dickson City with a liturgy at St. Mary’s Orthodox Catholic Church. Burial took place at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania.
