Catherine C. McOrmond, 79, of Oceanport passed away Nov. 11 at home. She was born in Evanston, Illinois to the late Charles and Doris (Rudehouse) Campbell.
Catherine was a graduate of Michigan State University, then attended Brookdale Community College where she received her degree in nursing and became a labor and delivery nurse at Riverview Medical Center for the next 20-plus years. In her “spare” time she was an avid sports fan, golfer and marathon participant. Mostly she was a No. 1 perfect mom.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 2017. Catherine is survived by her loving sons and their spouses, William and Ashley and Andrew and Joanna, and her dear grandchildren, Taylor, Summer, Brooke and Grace. Also surviving are her dear sisters, Caroline Oliver and Patricia Boedeker.
A celebration of Catherine’s life will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, with a service at 4:30 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.
