First year head coach Sal Guastella thanked the 21 seniors who didn’t get the chance to have a senior season.

“Words cannot express the level of disappointment I feel for all our players and especially the 21 seniors listed below. I know that these young men were the backbone of a program that now consists of over 90 players and plays very solid lacrosse at all three levels.

From the first day of practice I felt appreciated and trusted and the commitment was clearly there at every practice. The seniors made my brief experience with Middletown South lacrosse so positive and I am very grateful to all of you. The last two practices we had gave me a glimpse into the team we could be and I believed in my heart that this team would have been a force to be reckoned with in late April through a long May, when the games get tight and the stakes are high. Please know how much I respect you all for your integrity, caring, dedication, and willingness to accept change and make the most of it. These attributes will serve all of you well moving forward and I have every confidence that all of you will be successful in whatever endeavors you choose.”
